Carrie Grange Isaacson, LCSW

Carrie Grange Isaacson, LCSW, has been working with families since 1994. She received a BA with Honors and Distinction from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Ms. Grange Isaacson went on to receive an MSW from the Columbia University School of Social Work in New York. She currently holds a social work license to practice in New York and California. Carrie’s work is informed not only by years of training and clinical experience but most importantly by being a mother herself.
Ms. Grange Isaacson has worked with children and families in the private and public sector providing therapy and training to parents and professionals alike. In addition, she consults for Best Start Birth Center of San Diego screening and counseling high risk patients. She is the Parenting Expert for Parentricity.com a comprehensive parenting site where she has a blog and answers parenting questions. In addition, she writes parenting articles for several magazines and publications. In 2002 she was appointed as an Adjunct Lecturer at Columbia University and she has been qualified as an expert witness on child welfare, custody and attachment.
Carrie enjoys working with diverse populations and is passionate about helping new families. She is focusing her practice on counseling couples to become resilient parents. “With so much emphasis on being the best mothers and fathers we can be, we lose track of the importance of being good partners. To meet the needs of busy new parents, San Diego based Baby Maven, provides home based individual, couples and family therapy as well as phone coaching. Carrie also provides homestudy services for pre-adoptive and child custody purposes. Ms. Grange Isaacson is currently accepting applications from couples contemplating parenthood, couples expecting a child and couples of young children for upcoming workshops around the country.
